The Library is open for in-person visits Monday and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Patrons will be able to browse and select materials, pick up items on hold, receive help with reference and informational questions, and use our self-service copiers. Staff will send faxes on patrons’ behalf.
A limited number of computers are available for public use.
Our curbside pickup service will continue as scheduled for those patrons who do not wish to enter the building at this time. The curbside pickup cart will be located outside in the front of the building weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, the curbside pickup cart will be moved inside the vestibule.
Touch-free hand-sanitizer stations will be available throughout the building. Study rooms and tables, the children’s play area, the Conference Room, Meeting Room, reading areas, and newspapers are not available at this time. Water fountains will be closed and food or drink may not be brought into the Library. Limited seating is available throughout the library. A handful of study carrels are also available downstairs.
The Library will continue to issue library cards virtually. Please fill out our online form to pre-register. We are also issuing library cards during our open hours. A patron must present photo ID and proof of residency to obtain a library card in person. This includes picking up a card that has already been made. Library cards may be renewed over the phone.
Staff have missed seeing and working with the community in person and we are looking forward to welcoming everyone back into the Library. We have appreciated your patience and messages of support during this challenging time.
The library’s book drop is open. Fines will not accrue on any items, so materials can be returned at your convenience. Please wear a mask and maintain proper social distancing when returning your materials.
Children under the age of 12 must stay with their caregiver at all times.
Patrons age 2 and older will be required to wear a mask covering the nose and mouth while in the building. Visitors may need to wait to enter the Children’s Room if the capacity limit has been reached. Visitors who leave the Children’s Room while browsing (e.g. for restroom use) will be required to wait in line for re-entry.
Please use a touch-free hand sanitizer station prior to entering the Children’s Room. Pamphlets, brochures, coloring pages, bookmarks, stickers, toys, and stuffed animals are not available at this time. Touch-screen AWE Workstations are also unavailable until further notice.
One catalog computer and one desktop computer are available for use during your Library visit. Copying and printing are permitted.
For the safety of our staff and visitors, any books, DVDs, magazines, AV sets, audiobooks, or CDs touched but not checked out during a Library visit must go on the designated quarantine cart by the Children’s desk.
